Kay Martinovich

Kay Martinovich is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Northern Illinois University, where responsibilities include serving as the Head of Performance and Head of BFA Acting since August 2014. Martinovich teaches a range of courses, including Meisner-based acting, directing, and contemporary Irish drama, while directing multiple productions such as "Much Ado About Nothing" and recent showcases. Previous experience includes roles as an acting coach in the Chicago area and as a theater director for various theaters, having notable involvement with projects like "The Real Thing" and "The Giver." Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota and an M.Phil. in Irish Theatre and Film Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
