Rich Ullom

Rich Ullom has over 40 years of work experience, starting with their role as a Navy Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy from 1979 to 2003. Rich then worked as a Help Desk Manager at Barnes Distribution from 2003 to 2005. From 2005 to 2012, they served as the Manager of Infrastructure Services at Western Reserve Group. Rich then transitioned to the role of Information Technology Security Manager at Western Reserve Group from 2012 to 2016, where they aligned security goals with business objectives. From 2015 to 2021, they held various roles, including President and Member of the Board of Directors, at the Northern Ohio InfraGard Members Alliance. Rich has also served as the Regional Representative to the National Board of Directors at the InfraGard National Members Alliance since 2017. Currently, Rich Ullom holds the position of Assistant Vice President, IT Security and Compliance / Information Security Officer at Western Reserve Group, where they are responsible for establishing and driving the IT Security Strategy and Implementation Roadmap.

Rich Ullom completed their Master's Degree in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University in 2016. In 1999, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources and Marketing from Trinity University. In 2004, they studied Project Leadership at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Additionally, they received certifications in various fields, such as Certified Information Security Manager from ISACA in 2013 and Holistic Information Security Practitioner + from the Holistic Information Security Practitioner Institute in 2011. Rich also has additional certifications from the InfraGard National Leadership Academy, Certified Enterprise Resiliency Practitioner (CERP®) from the Information Security Summit, Law Enforcement Physical Security from the US Navy, Business Continuity and Emergency Planning from the Center for Security and Emergency Management, Inc. (C4SEM), and Cyber War and Critical Infrastructure from InfraGard National (INMA). Rich Ullom is also planning to pursue a certification in CRISC from United Training in 2023.
