Luisa Bonilla is an accomplished medical oncologist and assistant professor with extensive experience in oncology. Since September 2021, Luisa has served as an Assistant Professor of Oncology at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine while concurrently working as a Medical Oncologist at the Northeast Cancer Centre since July 2016. Previously, Luisa held roles at Eli Lilly and Company from May 2012 to June 2017 as a Medical Advisor and Clinical Research Physician, providing scientific support for clinical trials in oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and rheumatology. A residency in clinical oncology and radiotherapy was completed at Clalit, where Luisa worked as a Clinical Oncologist from January 2003 to May 2016, focusing on breast cancer and gynecological malignancies, and served as chief resident for two years. Luisa's education includes a Master's degree in Human Genomics from the University of Toronto and a Doctor of Medicine from Universidad El Bosque.
