I am the CEO of Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital, nestled amidst sparkling lakes in the remote northwestern Ontario forest. I bring a variety of hospital, community and education sector experience to this role. I have supported regional healthcare planners and home care as the director of Quality and Risk at the North East Local Health Integration Network. I have a dozen years of progressive leadership experience at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, including Director of Surgical, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Quality, Professional Practice and Education. I also have over 14 years of experience as a University and College course professor in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner, and healthcare leadership programs. I have enjoyed my work in various community settings, including Public Health, Community Health Centre, Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre, and independent practice as a nurse practitioner. I value volunteerism and have contributed as a Director on two boards, and as long-time member of The Canadian College of Health Leaders national ethics committee and local chapter executive. I look forward to supporting NOSM as it meets its social accountability mandate and works towards its vision of innovative education and research for our wonderful North!
