Jon Heyl

Jon Heyl has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jon is currently working at Northern Pacific as the Chief Pilot, Line Check Pilot, and Instructor since March 2023. Before that, they were the Assistant Chief Pilot, Line Check Pilot, and Instructor at the same company from September 2022 to March 2023.

From 2012, Jon has been associated with AeroStar Training Services LLC as a TRI/TCE (Instructor/Examiner -737). Prior to that, they worked in management and sales at Controlled Semiconductor from November 2003 onwards.

Jon also has experience working at National Air Cargo, Inc. as the Standards Line Captain, Check Airman, APD, CPE, and Sim & Ground Instructor from January 2019 to January 2023.

Prior to joining National Air Cargo, Inc., Jon was the Co-Owner of House of Beer from June 2010 to June 2022. Jon also worked at Western Global Airlines as a Captain, Check Airman, and SIM & Ground Instructor from December 2015 to January 2019.

Additionally, Jon served as a Senior Captain at New Gen Airways from October 2013 to December 2015. At New Gen Airways, they held the roles of Captain and Check Airman on Boeing 737 and Captain on Boeing 767-300 ER. Jon also acted as the SIM, Ground, and Chief Pilot/Flight Instructor.

Jon's early work experience includes being a Captain (Contract) at Polaris Aviation Solutions from October 2012 to November 2014 and a Captain at Swift Air from January 2012 to October 2012.

Prior to their aviation career, Jon worked as a Senior Business Consultant at Oled Technologies B.V. from April 2010 to May 2012. In this role, they were involved in designing and manufacturing OLED display manufacturing equipment for the processing of flat panel displays using OLED manufacturing technologies at OTBv.

Jon Heyl completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at DeVry from 1980 to 1982. After that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Marketing at Northfield University from 1992 to 1996. Jon furthered their education by earning a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Harrington School of Business between 1996 and 2000.
