Greg LaFontaine is an experienced electrician and handyman with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Journeyman Electrician with Tradesmen International since June 2019, Greg specializes in solar photovoltaic and wind electrical systems as a Solar Systems Specialist with Handyman Extraordinare, where Greg has been employed since 2007. Additional roles include extensive handyman services focusing on home repairs, tree removal, and land maintenance. Greg has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America since 1989 in various leadership positions and has also worked as a paid camp counselor. Alongside this, Greg has held project management roles and implemented solar installations at Innovative Power Systems, Inc. Education includes an Electrical Construction Degree from Minneapolis College and training at Minneapolis JATC.

Northern Star Council, headquartered in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, serves more than 32,000 young people in 21 counties across central Minnesota and four counties in western Wisconsin. More than 21,000 additional youth participants were served at Base Camp and other properties. The council is among the five largest in the United States and is led by over 21,000 volunteers. More than 1,100 community organizations, representing educational, religious, non-profit, civic, and business organizations join in partnership with Northern Star Council by chartering 1,417 Scouting units (packs, troops, teams, crews, posts and groups). The Northern Star Council was created through the merger of the former Viking (Minneapolis) and Indianhead (St. Paul) Councils on July 1, 2005.
