Karen Pittard has extensive work experience in the field of geophysics. Karen is currently working as a Principal Geophysicist at Northern Star Resources Limited since July 2023. Prior to this, they were a Consultant Principal Geophysicist at Intellex Geoscience from September 2009 to June 2023. Karen also served as a Project Geophysicist at Barrick Gold Australia Pacific from January 2010 to February 2011. From 2006 to 2008, Karen worked as a Project Geophysicist at Barrick Gold Austalia Limited, where they managed geophysics for the exploration group and handled various responsibilities such as geological interpretations, petrophysics, and target generation. Before that, they were a Project Geophysicist at Placer Dome Asia Pacific and De Beers Australia Exploration Limited. Karen began their career as a Student Geophysicist at Homestake Gold of Australia Limited.
Karen Pittard attended Curtin University from 1997 to 2001, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geophysics. Karen achieved First Class Honours during their time at the university.
