Wayne Carter

Wayne Carter is an experienced geology professional currently serving as Geology Manager - Discovery at Northern Star Resources Limited since June 2025. Prior to this role, Wayne held the position of Exploration Manager - Hemi at De Grey Mining Ltd from June 2022 to June 2025, overseeing a large team to develop the Hemi gold resource. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Exploration Geologist at Gold Road Resources, where responsibilities focused on exploration activities at the Yamarna Project, and a similar role at Lefroy Exploration Ltd, contributing to the Lake Lefroy Gold Project since the company's ASX listing. Earlier positions include Project Geologist at Silver Lake Resources and Exploration Geologist roles at Image Resources NL and Venture Minerals Limited. Wayne holds a Masters of Economic Geology from the University of Tasmania and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Applied Geology from the University of Plymouth.
