Rebecca Stavrou

Rebecca Stavrou has a diverse work experience across various industries. Rebecca has held roles in the government sector, including serving as the Director of Portfolio Management at the Northern Territory Government. Rebecca also worked in School Infrastructure NSW, where they held positions such as Manager of Policy and Business Strategy, Relieving Director of Strategy Policy and Reporting, and Executive Officer. Stavrou has also worked in the NSW Department of Education, where they served as the R/Director of the People Group for the COVID Taskforce, Policy Lead for the COVID Response, Senior Policy Officer for Strategic Initiatives, Investigator, and Project Officer. Prior to their roles in the government sector, they had experience as a Concierge at Havana Restaurant and a Head Teacher at Wahaha Bilingual School. Rebecca began their career as a Classroom Teacher at the NSW Department of Education and Communities and also worked as a Classroom and Relief Teacher at St Christopher's Church of England School. Additionally, they gained sales experience as a Sales Assistant at Fila.

Rebecca Stavrou began their education at Richmond River High School, where they obtained a School Certificate. Rebecca then attended the University of Sydney from 2007 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Primary School. Recently, from 2020 to 2022, they pursued further studies at the University of Sydney and received a Graduate Certificate of Urban and Regional Planning. In the future, they plan to enroll at Charles Darwin University to pursue a Bachelor of Law (Graduate Entry). Additionally, Rebecca holds a certification in Bachelor of Education (Primary) from Teacher Qualifications.
