Carole Huell currently serves as the Deputy Director of Human Services at Northern Virginia Regional Commission, where she offers guidance and leadership to expand agency visibility and foster partnerships. Previously, she worked at FACETS as the Sr. Director of Programs, managing programs and providing direction for six Program Directors. With a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Springfield College, Carole has dedicated her career to working towards eliminating the effects of poverty and homelessness in the community, securing financial support, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders to address critical needs. Her experience also includes serving as the Assistant Director of Housing Programs at Northern Virginia Family Service, where she managed grant funds, led budget management efforts, and dispersed significant funds in rental/utility assistance, resulting in increased client housing stability. Throughout her career, Carole has demonstrated a commitment to program effectiveness, compliance, and community development.

The Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC) is a regional council of thirteen member local governments in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington DC. According to Virginia’s Regional Cooperation Act, NVRC is a political subdivision (a government agency) within the Commonwealth. NVRC is the primary representative of the Northern Virginia perspective, relating the region's interests to state government, to other geographic areas of Virginia, and to the metropolitan area.
