Brent Johnson

I.T. Director at Northpointe Behavioral Health

Brent Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brent started their career in 2001 at Northern Michigan University, where they worked as an Instructional Media Services Technician. Brent was responsible for delivering video projectors and audio-video equipment to instructors and providing training on the equipment.

In 2005, Brent became a Computer Technician at Computer Service and Enhancement, where they repaired Windows operating systems and performed small office/home networking. Brent also provided hardware troubleshooting and offered consultation and recommendations for new computers.

From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Resource Manager/Project Coordinator at Teksource, where they staffed IT technicians for Office Depot projects and managed their on-site work. Brent also handled service and project calls for various companies.

In 2009, Brent joined Hannahville Indian Community as a Computer Technician. In this role, they supported 200 users of Windows-based operating systems and applications at Island Resort and Casino, as well as at Hannahville Health Center.

Brent then worked at G Brooks Electric Inc from 2001 to 2008 as a General Laborer/Apprentice Electrician. Brent'sresponsibilities included general labor work, pulling wire, terminating electrical connections, and trimming out electrical fixtures.

In 2015, Brent joined Northpointe Behavioral Health as a Network Administrator. Brent managed projects related to new IT installations and upgrades, configured IPSec VPN, routing, and security of firewalls.

Starting in 2017, they became a Breitung Township Trustee at Charter Township of Breitung. Lastly, in 2019, they were promoted to IT Manager and then to I.T. Director at Northpointe Behavioral Health, where they currently work.

Brent Johnson's education history begins in 1996 when they attended Kingsford High School. Brent completed their high school education there and obtained a diploma in 1999, after studying general subjects. From 1999 to 2004, they attended Northern Michigan University College of Business, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree. Brent'sdegree focused on Computer Information Systems Networking, with a minor in Economics.
