Heidi Nelson

Heidi Nelson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering, project management, and safety leadership. Currently serving as a Staff Facility Engineer and Senior Project Manager at Northrop Grumman since February 2022, Heidi directs project delivery for the space industry and global strategic defense. As the President of Hawk and Hog Consulting LLC since August 2018, Heidi leverages 20 years of experience in the United States Air Force to provide technical services to the motion picture industry, focusing on accurate portrayals of service members and global partners. Additionally, Heidi has been serving as an Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer for the Southern California region in the United States Air Force Reserve since 1999. Prior experience at Shell includes roles as a Lead Facility Engineer, HSSE Excellence Manager, and Auditor, contributing expertise in engineering solutions, safety leadership, and risk management. Heidi holds a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Colgate University and a Master's degree in Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
