Sarah Hysell

Sarah Hysell is a Principal User Experience Researcher and Human Factors Engineer at Northrop Grumman, with experience as a researcher at the Ronin Institute since November 2018. Hysell served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University from August 2019 to September 2022, managing projects related to Earth sample registration and data curation in collaboration with NASA. Previous roles include adjunct positions at Drexel University and Louisiana State University, a Research Associate at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and various research assistant positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC School of Information and Library Science. Hysell holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Library and Information Science and Geology from Florida State University.
