Alexander Trenk

Alexander Trenk is a General Surgery Resident at the University of Chicago since July 2018, with extensive experience in clinical research and simulation technology at North Shore University Hospital and NorthShore University HealthSystem. Focused on minimally invasive surgery (MIS), Alexander's research includes bariatric procedures, hernia repairs, and EGD studies. Previous roles as a Clinical Research Associate and Simulation Technician involved collaboration on porcine studies and assisting in central catheter placements. Alexander's early medical training includes internships in pediatrics, internal medicine, cardiovascular surgery, and endocrinology at various institutions. Alexander earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Semmelweis University in 2016.
