Shashi Bellam

Shashi Bellam is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in pulmonary and critical care. Currently serving as Division Head of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Endeavor Health since January 2025, Shashi also holds the position of System Physician Director for Physician and APP Engagement and Experience at the same organization. A Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine since January 2019, Shashi has been a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician at NorthShore University HealthSystem since October 2003, where various leadership roles include Physician Director of Patient Experience for Inpatient Legacy NorthShore and Program Director for the Transitional Year Residency. Previous experience includes a Clinical Assistant Professor role at the University of Chicago from July 2009 to January 2019 and completion of a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Shashi completed an Internal Medicine Residency at UAB Hospital and earned an MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
