James Alexander McGhee M.D.

James Alexander McGhee MD, MBA is a seasoned healthcare professional currently serving as a Hospitalist at Northside Hospital since June 2024. Previously, James completed an Internal Medicine Residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center from July 2021 to June 2024. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, James had a significant leadership role in supply chain management at American Greetings, where key accomplishments included transforming a traditional sourcing department and implementing efficiency improvements. Additional experience includes positions at B&W Y-12 LLC, Pepsi Beverages Company, Brinker International, and Wyndham Worldwide, showcasing a strong background in management and operations across various industries. James holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine, an MBA from Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tennessee State University.
