Adriana Garza was appointed Executive Director of Elementary Administration in June 2021. Garza has 37 years of experience in education at both the campus and central office level. She began her career in Laredo ISD in 1984 as a first grade teacher, pre-kindergarten teacher, grants coordinator, and elementary principal.
She joined Northside ISD in 2007 and served as the Transition to Teaching Project Specialist, vice principal at Kuentz Elementary School, principal at Brauchle Elementary School, and Northside's first Leadership Development Director.
Garza earned a bachelor’s degree from Laredo State University and a master’s degree from Texas A&M International. She is a Texas Principal's Visioning Institute alum, was awarded the 2017 Texas ASCD Brownlee Leadership Award for Exemplary Leadership in Instruction, Supervision and Curriculum, and led Brauchle Elementary in earning the Schools Transforming Learning Award in 2017.
