Matthew Holmes

Matthew Holmes is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Energy at NorthStandard since September 2025. Previously, Matthew held the same title at Dale Underwriting Partners from October 2020 to September 2025 and served as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Energy Client Team at elseco Limited from December 2016 to October 2020. Matthew’s career in energy underwriting began at Beazley from October 2011 to August 2016, and earlier experience includes a role as Class Energy Underwriter at Agnew/Wellington/Catlin Syndicates from February 1998 to October 2011. Matthew holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from De Montfort University, completing studies there in 1997, and attended Merchant Taylors School from 1988 to 1993.
