Jimmy Godfrey, Executive Vice President, Energy Division, joined Skyward Specialty in March 2011 when he sold his successful MGU business to the Company. Since that time Jimmy, as the Executive Vice President, of Energy Division, has continued to operate the mining segment of the Energy Division, making it one of the Companies most successful business.
During football season, Jimmy is often heard to exclaim “Roll Tide,” as he cheers on the University of Alabama. Jimmy also enjoys his family consisting of his wife of 47 years, one son and two grandchildren. Jimmy is based in Birmingham, Alabama and has been involved in the mining industry for 40 plus years. This experience has enabled him to structure insurance programs that mining companies need to operate and protect their companies.
