Michael Schostak

Michael Schostak has a diverse background in the healthcare industry, starting as an Anesthesiology Resident at the Cleveland Clinic in 2008. Michael then served as Chief Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Fellow at the same institution before moving to Beaumont Health, where they held roles as Attending Anesthesiologist and Medical Director of Perioperative Services. In 2019, they worked as a Healthcare Consultant, specializing in patient throughput initiatives and value-based care. Schostak later took on the role of Chief Medical Officer at FreightVerify Inc, focusing on technology to optimize inventory management. Currently, they serve as the Vice President Clinical Operations and Regional Medical Director at NorthStar Anesthesia, overseeing anesthesia services in multiple hospitals across different healthcare systems in Detroit and Toledo markets. In 2023, Schostak will assume the position of Medical Director, Utilization Management at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
