Peter Klimas, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Peter is currently serving as the Remote Sensing Lead at NorthStar Earth & Space Inc., a high-tech start-up focused on deploying the first commercial space-based satellite constellation. In their role, Peter is responsible for the technical oversight of the satellite development program and space infrastructure concept development.

Prior to their current position, Peter worked as the Director of Infrastructure at NorthStar, where they played a pivotal role in the company's initial technology development and fundraising initiatives. Peter supported the development of the business case proposition, participated in investment and partnership negotiations, and led technical due-diligence activities.

Before joining NorthStar, Peter worked at Sanmina as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Technical Lead. Peter was responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary product development team, interfacing with clients, and supporting consulting business segment sales.

Peter also gained experience at JDSU as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they designed and manufactured products for optical communications networks. Additionally, they served as the President of Klimas Analysis & Design Inc., offering systems engineering consulting services.
