David Westman

David Westman has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the aerospace and defense industry.

Starting in 2004, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin for a short period.

From 2004 to 2012, they joined Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, where they held multiple roles including Operations Crew Chief, Section Manager, and Operations Crew Chief/Senior Systems Controller. David managed employee performance, supervised remote technicians, and served as a key contact for contingency and emergency operations.

In 2012, David joined Northstrat Incorporated and took on the role of Senior System Integration Engineer. David provided system support and maintenance and managed day-to-day duties such as network administration and software installation. David also served as Director of Tactical Missions Solutions, overseeing a department and managing contracts.

In 2015, David returned to their role as Program Manager/Senior Systems Engineer at Northstrat Incorporated, and in 2021, they joined Stratos Solutions, Inc. as a Senior System Engineer. At Stratos Solutions, they managed a government program of national significance, provided technical expertise, and oversaw financial projects for government clients.

Currently, David is working as a Program Manager/Senior Systems Engineer at Northstrat Incorporated, contributing as a leader in program management and systems engineering.

David Westman obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. David went on to pursue a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on International Business and Executive Leadership at Liberty University, completing their studies from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, David Westman has earned several certifications. David obtained the title of Certified Blockchain Expert™ from the Blockchain Council in October 2021. In June 2020, they acquired the certification for "Motivating and Engaging Employees" from LinkedIn. Furthermore, they earned the certification for "DevOps Foundations: Transforming the Enterprise" from LinkedIn in March 2020. David also holds the designation of Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist, which was granted by Scaled Agile, Inc. in September 2021. Lastly, they obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA in December 2014.
