Sajin Chadayan

Sajin Chadayan is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering with extensive experience in battery systems development and electromechanical systems. Currently serving as Group Manager/Head of Electrical Engineering at Northvolt since December 2020, Sajin leads a multidisciplinary team to pioneer advanced battery solutions for energy storage and industrial applications. Previously, at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India from 2014 to 2020, Sajin played a pivotal role in the design and production of the first light-duty electric truck, while also contributing to the innovation of the Next Generation eCANTER. Sajin's earlier tenure at Volvo Trucks India involved leading teams in the design of electrical components for truck systems, and prior roles at Johnson Controls and Brakes India Private Limited focused on automotive component design and braking system development. Sajin's career began at Alpha Cad Designs with responsibilities in designing and manufacturing tooling for production efficiency.
