Christopher Dimaio

Christopher DiMaio currently serves as the System Director of Advanced Endoscopy and Regional Director of Endoscopy for Northwell Health, starting in January 2025. Additionally, Christopher holds the position of Professor of Medicine at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine since March 2025. Prior experience includes leadership roles as Chair of the Department of Gastroenterology at St. Francis Hospital and System Co-Chair of Digestive Disease Services at Catholic Health from December 2021 to January 2025. Christopher's academic background features significant positions at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where Christopher was a professor and director of interventional endoscopy, and at The Mount Sinai Hospital, serving as director of therapeutic endoscopy. Early career development included a fellow position at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Christopher earned an MD from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and a B.S. in Biology from Cornell University.
