Jonathan Berkowitz MD

Jonathan Berkowitz, MD, MBA, is an experienced physician leader focused on clinical integration, telehealth, and healthcare access. Currently serving as the Medical Director of Emergency Telehealth at Northwell Health, they have successfully developed innovative programs, including a global telehealth initiative and a centralized transfer center. Their extensive background includes leadership in emergency services, telehealth integration, and disaster medicine, further evidenced by their roles as Medical Director for Regional Emergency Services at Westchester Medical Center and Chief of the Division of PreHospital and Disaster Medicine at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine. A graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center, they have also contributed significantly to healthcare during crises, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
