Niraj Desai

Niraj Desai is currently the Director of the Center for Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at Northwell Health, a position held since 2024. They also serve as the Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, a role they have occupied since 2009. Previously, Niraj completed a Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania from 2000 to 2002 and worked as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine from 2002 to 2009. Niraj earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Williams College.
