Raman Mitra

Raman Mitra, MD, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Electrophysiology at Northwell Health and holds the position of Associate Professor of Cardiology. From July 2008 to July 2019, Raman Mitra was the Chief of Cardiology and Medical Director of Beacon Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists, where responsibilities included creating an integrated cardiovascular program and improving clinical outcomes. Prior experience includes roles as Principal at the Advanced Cardiac Rhythm Center, President of Midwest Medical Group, and Director of Electrophysiology at Rush University Medical Center. Educational credentials include an MD and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Cellular Electrophysiology and Ion channels, supplemented by a post-doctoral fellowship in Cellular ion electrophysiology from KU Leuven.
