Joey Francis, PMP, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. From 1999 to 2012, they worked at Intel Corporation as a Software Validation Engineer and Program Manager, where they created test strategies and mentored junior engineers. In 2012, they joined Ixia as a Senior Software QA Engineer II/Product Owner/Scrum Master, wearing multiple hats and improving product documentation. After that, Joey worked at Intel Corporation again as a Technical Marketing Engineer, focusing on investigating issues with mobile devices and creating marketing collateral. Joey then moved to Cisco as a Technical Project Manager before joining uTest as a Freelance Software Tester. In 2018, they worked as a Business Analyst at the State of Oregon before becoming a Project Manager at Intel Corporation, where they drove Agile Product Teams using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and managed testing projects. Most recently, Joey Francis joined Northwest Analytics as a Product Manager and Release Manager.
Joey Francis, PMP holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from California State University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include a Certificate in Business Analysis from Portland State University in March 2019, a Certified Health IT Security Professional (CHITSP) from 4Med Professional Training in September 2014, a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2018, a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in September 2017, and a Certified ScrumMaster, also from the Scrum Alliance, in January 2015.
