Katrina Lott has over a decade of experience in child and adolescent care within various roles in social services. Starting as a Group Home Manager at Springbrook Homes, LLC, Katrina managed homes for developmentally disabled individuals and provided training for staff. As a Mental Health Paraprofessional at Ozark Guidance, responsibilities included assisting children and adolescents in a residential treatment setting. From May 2005 to June 2009, Katrina served as a Foster Parent, adopting two boys with significant challenges. Currently, at the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter, Katrina has held multiple roles including Operations Manager and Infant/Toddler Coordinator, focusing on providing transportation and advocating for necessary resources for residents in emergency care.

Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter (NWACS) is a private, non-profit organization that provides 24-hour residential, emergency triage care for children throughout Arkansas who are victims of abandonment, abuse, or neglect. Our mission is to provide these children in crisis with a safe haven, high-quality care, and hope for the future. The programs we employ to achieve our mission are: o Emergency Care/Case Management Program o On-Site School and Education Program o Sophia Scott Expanding Horizons (Activities) Program o Nutrition Program Our programs collectively meet the child’s immediate needs of food, shelter and safety and also provide lasting benefits, through self-esteem building, hope and education. Since opening our doors in 1993, the Children’s Shelter has cared for more than 13,000 children from throughout the state of Arkansas.
