Katie McGuire Menges

Katie McGuire Menges is an accomplished music educator and director currently serving as the Director of the Symphonic Orchestra at Northwest Florida State College since January 2023. With extensive experience in music education, Katie has been a music teacher for K-8 at Okaloosa County School District since July 2013 and previously taught at Avon School District from August 2008 to May 2013, overseeing general music, band, and choir programs. Additionally, Katie directs the Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus Inc., leading performances throughout the year and engaging with the community. In the military, Katie has served as an Emergency Management Craftsman with the Air National Guard since 2002. Alongside these roles, Katie also works as an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, empowering women through skincare and makeup education. Academically, Katie holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music Education from South Dakota State University, complemented by a degree in Disaster Preparedness from the Community College of the Air Force.
