Anthony Tosie

Anthony Tosie is the current Executive Director of Communications at Northwest ISD. Anthony has extensive experience in the field, having worked as a Communications Specialist and Web Content Specialist at Denton ISD prior to their current position.

As a communications specialist, Anthony has overseen all written and online communications for Northwest ISD. Anthony has written press releases, news stories, media alerts, and newsletters for the school district. Anthony also serves as one of the district's two media contacts.

Under Anthony's guidance, the district's social media presence has grown massively. The number of Twitter followers has increased from fewer than 700 to almost 16,000 in about two and a half years. The newly created Instagram account has amassed more than 2,100 followers in the same time. The Twitter account has also garnered positive publicity on three major local TV affiliates (ABC, CBS and Fox), two newspapers (The Dallas Morning News and The Denton Record-Chronicle) and one radio station (KDGE 102.1 The Edge).

In addition to managing the district's social media, Anthony is also responsible for overseeing the management of 40 school and department websites. Anthony ensures that accurate and updated content is available on all of the websites.

Within the communications department, Anthony also helps plan for, manage, and set up special events. Anthony is an expert in their field and has successfully helped Northwest ISD grow its communications department into a well-oiled machine.

Anthony Tosie began their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Anthony then continued their education by obtaining a Master of Science in Marketing from the same school.

Their manager is David Hicks, Superintendent. They are on a team with Angela Scott - Public Affairs Coordinator, Michael Griffin - Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum & Instruction, and Tim McClure - Assistant Superintendent, Facilities.
