Robert W.

Robert W. has extensive experience in museum education and community engagement. Robert most recently served as the Director of Education at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture starting in 2023. Before that, they worked at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston for almost three decades. Their roles at the Museum of Fine Arts included serving as the Interim Patti & Jonathan Kraft Chief of Learning and Community Engagement and the Linde Director of Studio and Community Arts. In these positions, they were responsible for overseeing the administration, development, implementation, and evaluation of community arts programming, including collaborative projects with partnering organizations, art activities in healthcare settings, and studio arts programming for children and youth. Robert also played a key role in the selection and management of community-based art exhibitions.

Robert W. obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fine/Studio Arts from Washington State University in 1993. Prior to that, they studied Drawing and Painting at the same institution from 1990 to 1993. In 1994, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Drawing at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, completing it in 1997. In 1993, they also briefly attended the Studio Arts College International, but no degree information is available for that institution.
