Kathy Fernandez

Kathy Fernandez, SHRM-SCP, has extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as a Human Resources Specialist at Northwest Regional Education Service District since September 2012. Responsibilities include HRIS management, talent acquisition, employee retention, onboarding, benefits administration, and the management of protected leave and workers' compensation, as well as wellness and event planning. Prior to this role, Kathy worked at St. Mary's Home for Boys from November 2003 to September 2012, holding positions such as Confidential HR Administrative Assistant, Administrative Assistant 1, Case Manager, Interim Admissions Coordinator, and Residential & Day Treatment Counselor. Kathy earned a Certificate in HR Management from Portland State University in 2012 and a Master of Science in Sociology from the same institution in 2003.
