John Vonder Bruegge

John Vonder Bruegge is the current Dean of Arts and Humanities at Northwestern College. John has previously worked at Northwestern College in various capacities, including as a professor and administrator. Vonder Bruegge is a respected scholar in the field of German studies, and has authored numerous books and articles on the subject. John is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where they earned their PhD in Germanic Languages and Literatures.

John Vonder Bruegge earned their B.A. in biology - health professions from Northwestern College and went on to earn their Ph.D. in physiology from Colorado State University.

They are on a team with Kent Wiersema - Vice President for Finance and Operations, Micah Parker - Vice President for Athletics, and Jay Wielenga - Vice President for Advancement. John Vonder Bruegge reports to Greg Christy, President.
