Sara Gettinger graduated from DePaul University in 2013 with a degree in Communications, from there she accepted a job at Career Education Corporation working as a Financial Aid Advisor. For the next 2 and half years she enjoyed the call center environment while also working on student files.
In 2015 she accepted a Financial Aid Advisor role at The Illinois Media School working with students in person to complete their Financial Aid. While there she grew into a Regional Director of Financial Aid position with her strengths in compliance, file audits and relationships with students. While there she was also part of the New hire orientation and welcome committee for all hires in the company.
Looking for a job that didn’t send her to different state brought her to her current position at Northwestern College. Sara is currently the Director of Financial Aid overseeing the Financial Aid staff and day to day operations. When she is not working she enjoys running, indoor cycle classes, Netflix binges and walking her dog.

Chicago’s oldest career college, Northwestern College (formerly known as Northwestern Business College) founded in 1902 by J.F. Fish, is a privately owned for-profit College. With this vision that businesses would need competent, well-trained workers, the College opened its doors offering programs in accounting and stenography. In addition to nursing and radiography, the college offers an associate in applied science degrees in Health Information Technology and Business Administration; baccalaureate degrees in Business Administration and Health Information Technology; and certificates in Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, and Coding Specialist.
