Jonathan Y. Song, MD, FACOG, FACS has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Jonathan Y. is currently serving as the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital, a role they started in January 2022. Prior to this, Dr. Song held several leadership positions at the hospital, including President of Medical Staff, Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and Vice President of the Medical Staff. Jonathan Y. also served as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Medical Staff. Jonathan Y. began their education by earning a Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree from Rush University in 1998, where they focused on the study of medicine. After completing their medical degree, they pursued a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University from 1998 to 2002. During this residency, they gained extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field. Following their residency, Dr. Song further enhanced their expertise by attending the Oak Brook Institute of Endoscopy in 2002 to 2003. Here, they focused on advanced laparoscopic surgery, further specializing their skills in this specific area. Through these educational experiences, Dr. Jonathan Y. Song has acquired a comprehensive understanding of medicine, with a particular emphasis on obstetrics, gynecology, and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
