Andrea Saenim

Andrea Saenim has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Andrea is currently a Member at Chief, starting in 2023. Prior to this, Andrea held various roles at Northwestern Medicine from 2016 to 2023. These roles included Vice President of Operations, Medical and Surgical Specialties; Inaugural Chair, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Champion Network; Director of Operations, Surgical and Medical Specialties, Pathology and Behavioral Health; Director of Operations and Department Administrator, Pathology; Department Administrator, Pathology; and Director of Operations and Department Administrator, Anesthesiology.

Earlier in their career, Andrea worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 2003 to 2016. Andrea served as the Director of Administrative Operations for the Departments of Pathology, Microbiology & Immunology. In this role, they provided leadership in managing strategic, managerial, and financial activities, including physician professional gross revenue and grant portfolio management, clinical practice operations, faculty recruitment and credentialing, undergraduate and graduate medical education, staff recruitment and management, and employee relations. Prior to this, Andrea held the position of Assistant Director of Administrative Services in the Department of Pathology and was also a Program Coordinator in the Division of Anatomic Pathology.

Andrea Saenim holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Illinois Chicago-College of Business Administration. Andrea also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Management from the University of the Philippines. Andrea has completed several executive education programs at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, including Northwestern Medicine Leadership Development Program, Leaders as Coach, and Leading Change. Additionally, they hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of Illinois.
