Deborah Avalos

Deborah Avalos, MBA, MSN, RN is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, currently serving as the Director of Procurement Services at Northwestern Medicine since August 2013. In this role, Deborah leads strategic sourcing, value analysis, and procurement analytics teams, and co-developed the NMHC Value Analysis Program to enhance product decision-making and collaboration among various stakeholders. Deborah has a strong background in managing significant supply expenditures and fostering cross-functional teamwork. Before joining Northwestern Medicine, Deborah held various nursing roles, including Clinical Coordinator and Staff Nurse, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where responsibilities included facilitating patient care and guiding nursing staff. Deborah holds a Master's degree in Business and Nursing Administration from Lewis University and a BSN from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
