Florina Dekalo has a significant amount of work experience in the field of audit and risk advisory services. Florina started their career with KPMG as a Manager in Audit and Risk Advisory Services in October 2002 and worked there until January 2009. Following that, they joined Northwestern Medicine and held various roles, including Manager, Internal Audit from January 2009 to September 2011, Director, Internal Audit from September 2011 to December 2016, and Interim Chief Audit Executive from January 2017 to April 2018. Currently, they serve as the Chief Audit Executive at Northwestern Medicine, a position they have held since May 2018.
Florina Dekalo completed their Executive Leadership Development Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School in 2002. Florina also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration specializing in Finance and Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis, which they earned from 1998 to 2002. Florina Dekalo has additional certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors and as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
