Howard B. Chrisman

President & COO, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare at Northwestern Medicine

Howard B. Chrisman, MD, is President and Chief Operating Officer of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare. Since joining the organization in 1997, he has been an active clinician and leader who now has primary responsibility for Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Chrisman initially joined Northwestern Medicine as faculty, and he remains a professor of Radiology and Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, a Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Upstate Medical University, and a Master of Business in Health Care Administration from University of Colorado. He completed residency in radiology at University of Virginia and a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Feinberg School of Medicine.

Dr. Chrisman has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has given multiple scientific and invited oral presentations. He remains clinically active with primary expertise in treating fibroid disease using endovascular techniques.
