Lyle Berkowitz

Lyle Berkowitz, MD, FACP, FHIMSS, is a distinguished physician and leader in healthcare innovation, currently serving as the founder and CEO of KeyCare since January 2022, which provides health systems access to independent virtual care providers. As the founder and CEO of Back 9 Healthcare Consulting since June 1996, Lyle focuses on strategic advisory services for digital health startups and healthcare systems, emphasizing IT and Human Centered Design. Lyle is also the managing director of Cobblestone Ventures, an investing firm, and the founder and executive director of the Szollosi Healthcare Innovation Program at Northwestern Medicine. Holding an associate professor position at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, Lyle teaches key courses on healthcare economics and delivery. With extensive experience as a primary care physician and health system executive, Lyle has played a pivotal role in significant advancements in telehealth and care delivery systems. Educational background includes degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, and an internal medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
