Tom Bayer

Tom Bayer, M.S., is a technology professional with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and data engineering. Currently serving as the Manager of Cloud Infrastructure Services at Northwestern Medicine since July 2020, Tom leads a team of engineers to ensure high-quality deployments and stability of cloud systems. In previous roles, Tom has effectively utilized agile methodologies and has experience architecting cloud solutions using Terraform. Prior to Northwestern Medicine, Tom worked at Datametica Solutions Private Limited as a Solutions Architect, where responsibilities included migrating legacy systems to cloud solutions. Additional experience includes serving as a Data Engineer at Discover Financial Services, focusing on anti-money laundering applications, and working with data at Sears Holdings Corporation. Tom holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Winona State University.
