Amber O'Brien

Amber (Bemis) O'Brien, MA, serves as the Senior Associate Director of Digital Communications at Northwestern University since January 2021, previously holding the position of Associate Director of Digital Communications for Alumni Relations and Development. Amber's prior experience includes serving as a Marketing Specialist at Northwestern Medicine, where the development of integrated marketing communications plans for eight specialty service lines was a key responsibility. Amber's career also encompasses various roles at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, including Multimedia Communications Specialist and Communications Specialist, with a focus on social media strategy and multimedia storytelling. Earlier positions in public relations and social media at Moraine Park Technical College and SPARK Advertising further solidify Amber's expertise in media communications. Amber earned a Master’s Degree in Relational Communication from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Business from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
