E. Patrick Johnson

E. Patrick Johnson is a distinguished academic leader and professor currently serving as Dean at the School of Communication at Northwestern University since July 2000. With a comprehensive background in communication studies, Johnson transitioned to the role of Full Professor after having been appointed as Incoming Dean of the School of Communication for a brief period in June to August 2020. Prior to tenure at Northwestern University, Johnson held the position of Assistant Professor at Amherst College from 1993 to 2000. Johnson's academic journey includes advanced studies at Louisiana State University, culminating in a degree obtained between 1991 and 1996, as well as education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
