Matthew Elwin

Matthew Elwin is an accomplished academic in the field of mechanical engineering, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Instruction and Co-director of the MS in Robotics at Northwestern University since January 2018. Previous roles at Northwestern include Assistant Professor of Instruction, Deputy Director, Interim Associate Director, and Lecturer. Elwin’s professional experience also includes positions as a Software Developer at TellEmotion, Inc., an intern at Microsoft and Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and a Research Assistant at Dartmouth College Robotics Lab. Elwin holds a PhD and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, as well as an A.B. and B.E. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
