Britt Dame

Britt Dame, PhD, CCLS, is currently a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where courses focus on instructional strategies and program development in health professions education. With experience as a Child Life Specialist at Norton Healthcare since September 2019, Britt provides child life coverage in various medical settings, including the ER and surgery, while also handling a facility dog. Previous roles include Lead Child Life Specialist at Midland Memorial Hospital, where Britt established the first Child Life Department, and positions at Cook Children's Health Care System and Covenant Health. Britt holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Professions Education from Bellarmine University, along with a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University.
