Karen George

Lead Research Regulatory Specialist at Norton Healthcare

Karen George has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Karen started their career in 1996 as a Laboratory Director at the University of Louisville Hospital, where they worked until 2016. During their time there, they also served as the System Laboratory Director on an interim basis. In 2016, they joined KentuckyOne Health as a Laboratory Manager and later became the Laboratory Director. In 2018, they moved to Silver Cross Hospital, where they held the position of Laboratory Director. Currently, they are working at Norton Healthcare as a Research Regulatory Specialist and has recently been promoted to the role of Lead Research Regulatory Specialist.

Karen George has a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of Louisville. Karen also holds an MBA degree in Management from the same university. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) in 2023 and Cert Prep: Project Management Professional (PMP) from LinkedIn in 2020. Karen also holds the certification of Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
