Arden Sherman currently serves as the Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at Norton Museum of Art, where responsibilities include creating exhibitions, organizing permanent collection rotations, and conducting research for exhibition didactics. Previously, Arden held various roles at Hunter College, including Co-Professor and Director and Curator of the Hunter East Harlem Gallery, focusing on socially-minded contemporary art. Arden co-founded Cousin, a boutique line of leather sandals, and has collaborated with notable institutions such as Creative Time and Loyola Marymount University in curatorial roles. Arden holds a Master of Arts in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Fine and Studio Arts from the College of Charleston.
