Kate Austin

Kate Austin is a skilled Digital Assets and Rights Manager at the Norton Simon Museum, where responsibilities include the research, governance, and implementation of the Museum's first Digital Asset Management System, managing digital image files, and overseeing copyright information. Previous experience includes serving as Rights and Reproductions Coordinator at the same institution, as well as management roles at Polytechnic School, where developments in admission systems and statistics were key responsibilities. Kate has a strong background in program coordination through roles at the California Art Club and Los Angeles County Museum of Art, alongside earlier positions that involved event coordination and administrative support. With a Master’s degree in Art History from the Academy of Art University and a forthcoming Digital Asset Management Bronze Certificate from Rutgers University, Kate has a solid educational foundation to complement extensive professional expertise in the arts sector.
