Declan Sowter is the Impact Officer at Norwich City Community Sports Foundation. Declan has previous experience working as a Sports Coordinator and Sport Psychology internship. In their role as Sports Coordinator, Declan was responsible for aiding PhD students with their studies surrounding sports engagement. Declan also took lead on qualitative and quantitative data analysis, designed and coordinated the sport engagement sessions with disabled and vulnerable young adults, and successfully marketed the PhD study to university students, surpassing the participation requirements. As a Sport Psychology intern, Declan researched 2500+ studies on sport psychology and completed a database designed to advance teachings at UoSPitched key findings from the data in a presentation to Dr. Latinjak and colleagues. Declan also developed innovative psychological skills training methods to help cope with stress, created a ten-week program for group of athletes around psychological skills training, and created an online portfolio which included obtaining video footage and heavy editing.
